Your holiday accommodation is a situated in the centre of the historical town of Tiglio, near Barga, 520 metres above sea level. The property dates back to 1658 (east wing) and 1771 (south wing), these dates can still be read on the stones over the main entrances.
Enclosed by surrounding walls, it provides privacy and there are ample facilities for your "after-walk relaxation" such as swimming pool with sun terraces, the sun grotto a private park and an
olive grove. |

The buildings have recently been restored using traditional materials and techniques. Many historical features have been retained such as the old bread oven and wash tub. |

Tiglio produces honey, olive oil, chestnut flour and other chestnut products.
During the year various kinds of honey are extracted from the bee hives; in May and June, "Acacia" famous for it's delicacy and light colour, in the warmer months they produce "Millefiori" which has a strong firm taste and "Melata" (HoneyDew) with a combination of fragrances and flavours of the end of summer.
"La Mieleria" is a building used for processing honey, guests can visit and watch the processes. |
During the winter months olives are harvested from the parks.
Products produced here and others from this area such as; honey, oil, flour and biscuits can be bought on the premises in the shop.
